Multiplicities: An Artistic Exploration of Racial Disparities in Cancer

  • Koch Institute Public Galleries 500 Main Street Building 76 Cambridge, MA 02139 United States (map)

Curated by NuCARta
On view SEpt. 28 - DEC. 8
Opening Reception: THURSday, SEPT. 28 from 4-8:30pm

This exhibit consists of thought-provoking artworks that speak to the current state of cancer inequities and starts the conversation around the need for our communities to feel empowered to actively shape our health outcomes, particularly in the realm of cancer.

Our opening night, timed to celebrate the Cambridge Science Festival's Health Equity Day, will include talks from the artists, and a chance to mingle with creatives, community members, local scientists, engineers, health equity advocates, innovators, and health professionals. All festivities are free and open to the public and will include light refreshments and vibes curated by @djdeaftunez.

Can’t make the opening event? Visit the exhibit during @cambscifest Art at Night event on September 29 to attend @nucarta.co‘s Art & Cancer Equity Vendor Market, a cross-industry interactive space that will highlight organizations who are leading community-driven efforts to eliminate racial health disparities and/or accelerating cultural transformation in the arts for Black, Brown and minority folk.
