The Edward Mitchell Bannister National Exhibition: Celebrating BIPOC Artist

Had such a great time at the opening reception of the The Edward Mitchell Bannister National Exhibition: Celebrating BIPOC Artists curated by Krista Scenna at Providence Art Club. It was such a great moment and really allowed me to meet new artists as well as link up with artists from past exhibitions.

THE EVENT

This was my first time in the Providence Art Club and its quite an experience. As we entered up the stairs to the Maxwell Mays Gallery the spaces was filled with powerful selection of pieces that collectively expressed a feeling of reunion.

It's always fun to have that moment of discovery as you search for your piece in a group exhibition. I was filled with joy once I saw my piece hanging on the wall directly across from the lounge. It had a subtle but strong presence that really made me feel proud about it being featured amongst powerhouse pieces.

Big shoutout to all the friends and family that came out! Also check out some of my favorite artists from the event. I’ll share the socials of the creative geniuses I took photos with. Again, thank you to Krista Scenna for curating and Providence Art Club for hosting. The exhibition is up till July 14th so don’t miss out.
