BRAND AMBASSADOR
As the Brand Ambassador to the Boston Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects, I was tasked to rebrand the overall feel and appearance of the organization.
After the logo, the website was the next big overhaul. We wanted to provide a cohesive experience that highlights the resources we offer while allowing a simple user experience to navigate the site.
As we refine the website, we also focus heavily on our connection to our audience. Over the year we have devoted many nights to plan and execute social post that are relevant to the world we live in. I put in place an over all color scheme that is to be used while still expressing the unique focus of the posts.
Logo Development
When developing the revamped BosNOMA logo, I was directed to create something that could represent the revitalization of the chapter. I took this as an unique opportunity to showcase what makes BosNOMA a safe haven for not only me, but for the young professionals that attend our meetings.
My main source of inspiration was our conversations. We had a focus to be a resource within the underrepresented communities but most importantly, being within those communities. We as architects, are translators for the voices of the community and the only way to hearing what they need it to meet them at the crosspoint.
Communication Involvements
Minority Report
As a response to highly requested information about different backgrounds and cultures we have created the Minority Report. This initiative focuses on the providing a range of different media sources that present under represented perspectives.
BosNOMA Boost
This is a premium newsletter we offer to our paid BosNOMA members. Released monthly, we review the past month, highlight members, and provide insight on job opportunities.
Project Pipeline
Project Pipeline is a national initiative that started in 2006 in Cincinnati by the South West Ohio NOMA chapter that exposes middle and high school students to design through a series of educational programs tailored to engage and support their interests. This was BosNOMA’s first Project Pipeline and we were thrilled by the outcome.
